About Us

Drimatic Energy Services Inc. was founded in 2011 by Bruce denOuden to capitalize on his nearly 40 years of Western Canadian drilling and completions project management experience. Bruce has assembled a team of some of the best in the business, working together to deliver safe, efficient, reliable performance to clients.

Consulting Services

Drimatic Energy Services Inc. provides experienced, certified, and highly-skilled project management consulting for construction, drilling, and completion well site supervision in Western Canada. All services are carried out with an eye on safety, cost-effectiveness, and strict adherence to government regulation. Ultimately, with Drimatic you get faster holes for less money while maintaining safety and regulatory compliance every step of the way.

Consulting services offered by Drimatic include:

  • Land & Construction

    Assurance of proper handling of issues relating to land access, surveying, drilling location.

    Co-ordination and supervision of lease construction, once license approved.

  • License & Regulations

    Application for well license to Provincial government.

    Compliance with H2S release rates and surface casing setting depths regulations.

    Strict adherence to Health and Safety regulations.

    Submission of all regulatory information to Provincial government.

  • Drilling & Completions

    Preparation and implemention of drilling and completion programs.

    Management of drilling costs according to estimates provided (completion within 10% of actual costs).

    Proper bidding out and fair awarding of services required, such as drilling contractors, mud and cement services, directional drilling companies, etc., in consultation with Client.

    Review of all operational invoices prior to weekly submission to Client.

  • Reporting

    Daily written reporting to the Client, with additional verbal updates as required.

    Reporting to Provincial government in accordance with regulations.

Projects

Drimatic has been engaged in multiple drilling consulting projects, running multiple drilling rigs, including:

  • Multi-lateral horizontal wells in Turner Valley with up to 1200m per leg.

  • Horizontal wells is SESK/Manitoba in Bakken, Midale, Alida, Tilston, Spearfish and Souris formations, with up to 1400m lateral sections.

  • Horizontal wells in Brazeau, Willesden Green, Ferrier, Carrot Creek and Edson with lateral sections ranging from 1400m to 3400m.

  • Horizontal, monobore Jean Marie wells NE of Fort Nelson, BC, with laterals over 2000m in length at ~1475mTVD.

  • Strat-Horizontal Duvernay wells in Crystal with lateral sections over 2000m.

All these wells have completions that range from openhole, cemented liner, liners with packers and monobores having packers set in openhole and cementing build and vertical sections through a stage tool.

  • Harmatton Gas Plant (AltaGas) critical sour well with 56% H2S (2023)

  • Deanne 39-11 W5M Wilrich B well with 2909m lateral at 3385mTVD, 6362mMD (2022)

  • Brazeau 45-12 W5M Wilrich G well to 6644mMD at 2662mTVD with a 3655m lateral (2021)

  • Mirage 79-8 W6M Charlie Lake well to 3900m at 1459mTVD with a 2248m lateral section (2022)
